Cedar Mountain Solar’s
goal is to provide and install highly reliable, cost-effective turnkey solar
systems to architects, builders, and homeowners. This will support the development
of the local solar industry by building confidence in solar technology within
our customer base.
Cedar Mountain Solar was founded in June 2004 to address a perceived void in the solar marketplace. As the cost of fossil fuel increases, there is a need to turn to renewable energy sources as alternatives. In New Mexico, the most abundant renewable resource we have is solar energy. Solar heating technology is the most cost effective application of this resource from both an economic and a “net energy” perspective. Solar heat collectors are relatively low-tech compared to solar electric, wind energy, geothermal heat pumps and other arising technologies. They have no moving parts and, if well maintained, they can last for decades, providing reliable heat to buildings, water heaters, pools, spas, and snow-melt systems. Solar heating is ready to be brought into the mainstream and to be considered as a viable primary heating source in the sunbelt states.
